Made with depth and meaning
Glendalough Wild Rose Gin

This fresh, rose petal gin was first made to honour our Head Distiller Ciaran “Rowdy” Rooney’s mother Rose, at his little brother’s wedding. Rose had recently passed away, and this was his way to have her there in spirit.
Carefully tended flowers from her rose garden are vapor distilled with wild roses and plants from the mountains around the distillery to make this an intensely floral gin. After distilling, the gin is then further infused with even more roses to deepen the flavours and give it its lovely pink hue
Tasting Notes
NOSE
Notes of bright lemon and blood orange, and soft juniper. Deeply aromatic and perfumed with fresh rose.
TASTE
Hints of rose petal, bright berries, Turkish Delight, and citrus with a nectar-like sweetness.
FINISH
Long finish; floral notes linger with hints of pink peppercorn and a touch of earthy spices.
Created in homage to the bountiful valley of Glendalough in County Wicklow, the bottle has been designed to look as though it has been picked straight from the Wicklow forest floor.
Full-time Forager Geraldine Kavanagh’s care for the land is preserved with a woven pattern sitting at the base of the bottle, representing the handwoven basket with which she forages daily. From here, wild botanicals grow and are beautifully embossed around the bottle. Look closely and you will find reverent nods to Glendalough’s ancient past including the monastery archway, seven churches and deer stone. In this way, our bottle is transformed into a secret map, for those who know how to use it.
